Shahid Shabaz (born 10 September 1991) is an Indian Sufi singer based in the United Arab Emirates. He is known for being selected as the Voice of UAE in 2016.
Life and career[edit]
Born in Karnataka, India, Shahid made his solo singing debut in 2009. He rose to fame in 2016 after winning the Voice of UAE title. Subsequently, he started getting live performance requests both from UAE and other countries. He has performed several shows in UAE as well as in India and other countries.
Shahid is known to be the favorite Bollywood/Sufi singer of UAE.[1] He has a band that comprises of Loyson Corda, the Lead Guitarist, Hisham Ghanem, the Drummer and Rizwan Yaqoob on the Bass guitar.[1] His singing style is influenced by notable singers like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi. Shabaz is currently working on his own album which he is looking forward to launch soon.
