Shabd, formerly known as ShabdaNagari, is a Blogging and Social Networking website, exclusively in Hindi.[1] Founded in 2015 by IIT, Mumbai alumni Amitesh Misra, Shabd is the first of its kind stage on the internet that provides the ability to read and write content in Hindi.[2][3][4] Shabd was incubated at SIDBI Innovation & Incubation Centre, IIT, Kanpur (SIIC-IIT Kanpur) from 2015 to 2017.[5] Users can create blogs, pages, websites, poems, stories, articles and ask questions in Hindi on Shabd.[6] It also provides the ability to connect with other bloggers and Hindi speakers. The website is targeted towards native Hindi speakers.[7] Pratilipi is another such website which allows users to publish and read original works in Hindi and 7 other Indian languages.
