Shadowhunter is a 1992 American made-for-television Thriller film starring Scott Glenn, Angela Alvarado, Benjamin Bratt and Robert Beltran, directed by J. S. Cardone. It won the Jury Award for Best Independent Film at the 1992 Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Plot

LA cop John Cain (Scott Glenn) is sent to a Navajo reservation to bring back murderer Nakai Twobear (Benjamin Bratt). Cain is suffering stress after separating from his wife and witnessing a traumatic murder case. While escorting Twobear in his vehicle he experiences a vision and crashes.

Cain teams up with tracker Ray Whitesinger and officer Frank Totsoni to retrieve Twobear. Whitesinger warns Cain that Twobear is a "coyote man", a kind of shaman, and has placed a curse on Cain, to "walk in his skin" and eventually steal his soul. Cain is plagued with nightmares of Twobear.

Twobear manages to capture Whitesinger and fights Cain in a hidden ancient ruin. Despite significant injuries, Cain manages to stab Twobear, who falls to his death, releasing the curse.
