Shahabul Haque

Md Shahabul Haque is an associate professor in the Department of Political Studies at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. He has been a faculty member since 2006.
Biography[edit]
Haque completed his Ph.D. in Education, Leadership, and Policy from Beijing Normal University in June 2020, funded by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). His dissertation focused on "Student participation in Higher Education Governance in Bangladesh." Prior to his Ph.D., he graduated in International Migration and Social Cohesion from the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, in 2012, under the Erasmus Mundus program.
Haque's academic background includes a Master of Social Science in Political Science and a Bachelor of Social Science in Political Science, both from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Before entering academia, Haque was actively involved in journalism, serving as a Staff Correspondent for the daily Ittefaq, one of the oldest Bengali daily newspapers. He has contributed to various research works on international and local migration, governance, education, and national elections in Bangladesh.
