Shane Stay is an author who has written the books, *The Euro 2022*, *European Soccer Leagues 2019*, *The Women’s World Cup Book 2019*, *Major League Soccer 2019*, *The World Cup 2018 Book*, *Why American Soccer Isn’t There Yet* and *The Cairo Project*. In 2014, during a radio broadcast on "WFAE NPR North Carolina," host Mike Collins said of Stay's book in reference to American soccer not yet winning a men's World Cup, "Why American Soccer Isn't There Yet, but it will be, that's the subtitle I just gave it."[1]

In addition, Stay founded the salad dressing, Leaf Dressing, as discussed on NPR station Capitol Public Radio, Sacramento, CA[2]

Career

Along with being an author, Stay has played professional soccer, bottled Leaf Dressing, worked as a comedian, and been a restaurateur.[3][4][5]
