Shankar Gora (born Shankar Lal Gora; 10 April 1993) is an Indian politician from Rajasthan and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has been serving as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) – Rajasthan, the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party – Rajasthan, since 30 January 2026.[1][2][3][4][5]
Early life and education
Shankar Gora was born in Chomu, Rajasthan. He completed his post-graduation from the University of Rajasthan and is professionally engaged in agriculture.[6]
Political career
Association with ABVP
Gora was associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) during his early political activities.[7]
Appointment as BJYM Rajasthan President
On 29 December 2025, the Bharatiya Janata Party announced his appointment as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Rajasthan.[8][9][10] He formally assumed charge in Jaipur on 30 January 2026.[11][12]
Organisational outreach
Following his appointment, Gora undertook organisational visits across several districts in Rajasthan including Dausa, Dholpur, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur.[13][14][15][16]
During a visit to Dausa, he commented on employment opportunities and the proposed recruitment calendar for government jobs in Rajasthan.[17]
