The Shannon Staub Library is a public library located in North Port, Florida

The Shannon Staub library is one of two libraries that serves the City of North Port, Florida. Shannon Staub serves the south end of Sarasota County and North Port.[1] The Library opened on November 7, 2017 and is connected to the Suncoast Technical College. [1]
The 23,321 square foot building serves the public and the Suncoast Technical College. It features a meeting room with seating capacity of a 120 people, teen zone, two reading gardens, a makerspace area, and more.[2]
Shannon Staub[edit]
The library is named after Shannon Staub. Staub was named the '2017 Woman of the Year' by the League of Women Voters of Sarasota County, and in 2011, was the founding president of the Library Foundation of Sarasota County.[3] Staub served as a Sarasota County Commissioner for 14 years before her retirement.[4]
Hours of Operation[edit]
The Shannon Staub Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10am to 8pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The library is closed on Sunday.
