Shar Dubey serves as the chief executive officer of Match Group, overseeing the group’s entire portfolio of Match, Meetic, OkCupid, Pairs, PlentyOFish, Hinge, OurTime, and Tinder. With the oversight of these many dating apps and platforms, Dubey continues a 15-year tenure of growing the group’s properties.
Before taking on the role of CEO, Shar Dubey previously held other high-level leadership positions in the company. She was most recently president of Match Group and has been chief operating officer of Tinder and president of Match Group Americas.
As COO of Tinder, Dubey oversaw the development and launch of Tinder Gold. This is the subscription service that’s largely responsible for making Tinder the highest-grossing non-gaming app to date. Dubey’s responsibilities as president of Match Group and president of Match Group Americas were to oversee all strategy, innovation, revenue functions, and research and development.
Shar Dubey first joined Match Group in 2006, having previously worked at both Texas Instruments and i2 Technologies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in engineering from Ohio State University.
Shar Dubey also serves on the Board of Directors for both Fortive and Match Group.
