Sharayu Date is a Marathi playback and classical singer from Mumbai, Maharashtra. She participated first season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi L'il Champs[1] (Zee Marathi), The Voice India (&TV),[2] Sur Nava Dhyas Nava[3] (Colors Marathi) and Singing Star[4] (Sony Marathi).
Background[edit]
Sharayu was born in Nagpur to Mukul Date and Anjali Date. She started her formal musical training at the age of three years from her Guru and mother, Anjali Date. Then she started learning Hindustani classical music from Vidushi Arati Anklikar-Tikekar and is currently learning from Vidushi Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi L'il Champs[edit]
In 2008, Sharayu was auditioned for the debut season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi L'il Champs, a competitive music reality show organized by the Zee Marathi television channel.[1] She was one of the final 50 who were selected from amongst several thousand children aged between 8 and 14 across Maharashtra.[5]
The Voice India[edit]
Sharayu Date had participated in the singing reality show The Voice India Season 2 telecasted on &TV.[2] She was a part of Salim Merchant's team on the show. In the show, she had said that she aims to become a multi-lingual playback singer.

Sharayu released “Saiyaan Tori” song written and composed for the first time and sung by herself through Merchant Records- a music label by Salim-Sulaiman.[15]

- Nominated for the 2014 Mirchi Music Award for the category ‘Upcoming Female Vocalist of the Year’ for “Ramaa Madhav”.[16]
- Nominated for the 2020 Filmfare Marathi Awards for the song “Ranga Maliyela” from “Anandi Gopal”.[17]
