Features

South Pacific Hotel

The site of the South Pacific Hotel was the Nanyang Theatre. Nanyang Theatre is a cinema with a total of 1,097 seats. It was demolished in 1989 and converted into the South Pacific Hotel, which housed two mini cinemas with 352 and 374 seats respectively and reopened in April 1992. The name of the theater was also changed from Nanyang Theater to South Pacific Theater. Although it reopened as a small cinema, business did not live up to expectations and it closed in April 1999.[1][2][3]
