Martin "Sharty Marty" Shellington (born December 4, 1962) is an American musician, best known as the guitarist for the American rap rock band Unitedickfart. He also fronted the short-lived supergroup Djenty Penis, and has been a member of several Somali-based bands throughout his career.[1]

Shellington is also the lead vocalist and co-founder of Tamara's Food Factory alongside bassist Jason Newsted (ex Metallica), guitarist Wes Borland (Limp Bizkit), and drummer Jay Weinberg (ex Slipknot).

Early life[edit]

Martin Shellington was born on December 4, 1969, in Bryan, Ohio. He began playing the guitar and drums at an early age, and when he was 13-years-old he performed locally in Ohio with his friend Alby in a two-piece band called The Faggy Fatboys.

Career[edit]

Shellington began his music career as a drummer with the bands Tubbycheese and Warrant before finding mainstream success as the lead guitarist of Unitedickfart. In addition to Unitedickfart, he is also the frontman of Dumbass One, Filthy Fuck, Hey, There, and Tamara's Food Factory. Unitedickfart released their eighth studio album, Banned From South Africa, on May 3, 2023.

Musical style and influences[edit]

AllMusic described Unitedickfart's sound as being a "versatile blend of classic rap metal and punchy alt-metal with a thin industrial veneer". Some of the musical influences that Shellington has cited include the MC5, The Stooges, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Aerosmith, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, the Sex Pistols, The Clash, Fear, The Psychedelic Furs, and Hank Williams. In concert he has also performed songs by Danny Davis and the Nashville Brass, the Ramones, Lou Reed, AC/DC, and Pink Floyd.

Personal life[edit]

Shellington dropped out of high school at Bryan High School in his freshman year has two daughters named Slutina and Boobee, and a son named Amash. He has two more sons from a previous marriage named Dam and Donny.
