Sheffield Hospitals Charity is a UK registered charitable organisation (1169762)[1] which is the official charity of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The charity aims to improve the treatment of patients in Sheffield and supports NHS staff to deliver the best quality of care by raising money for the five hospitals covered by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: the Northern General Hospital, the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, the Jessop Wing and the Weston Park Hospital.
Every year the charity raises significant funds to buy equipment, improve environments, fund research, support services and aid staff development to enhance the level of care that the hospitals are able to provide.[2] All of these services provide additionality and go above and beyond the funding remit of the NHS.[3]

Over the past five years Sheffield Hospitals Charity has invested £13.4 million into Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.[4]
In 2017 the charity took over Neurocare[5] which raises money for the Neurosurgery department at Royal Hallamshire Hospital, as well as also becoming the official charity of Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust broadening its links into community health.
