Hussain Abdul Rahman (1944 – 29 September 2015) was a judge and scholar of religion in the Maldives. He is also the father of President Mohamed Muizzu.[1][2][3][4]
Early career, job and honors[edit]
Abdul Rahman was born in Vashafaru in 1944. He served as a judge in the Maldives and was a scholar of religion.[1] In 2013, Abdul Rahman received the National Award of Honour from then-president Mohamed Waheed Hassan for "contribution in the area of religious awareness and religious education".[5][6] Abdul Rahman was the owner of Dhimyaath, a guest house in the Maldives.[7]
Death[edit]
In 2015, Abdul Rahman and his family went to Hajj and died in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on 29 September 2015.[1] [8][9]
