Sheila A. Wolf (architect)

Sheila A. Wolf (born March 24, 1961) is an American architect, former professor, and business executive. She served as the President of Northtown Development Brokers from 2012 to 2018. A member of the American Institute of Architects,[1] she formerly worked at SKS Engineers in Decatur, Illinois.[2] She previously taught at the University of Illinois, Iowa State University and Kansas State University respectively.

Early life and education[edit]

Sheila Ann Wolf was born on March 24, 1961, in Decatur, Illinois to American Industrialist Raymond T. Wolf (1929-2011) and real estate developer Joan Wolf (1929-2012). She graduated from St. Theresa Catholic High School in 1978 and attended the University of Illinois graduating in 1983. She received graduate degrees in Architecture from Texas A&M University School of Architecture[3] in 1988 and later from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in 1992 where she practiced under Frank Gehry.[4]

Career[edit]

Wolf worked in private practice in Los Angeles, and San Francisco, California for two years before moving back to Illinois to practice in Evanston, Illinois and then Champaign, Illinois where she began teaching at the University of Illinois School of Architecture.[1][5]

Northtown Development Brokers[edit]

After the death of her mother, Joan Hubbard Wolf, in 2012. She became president of Northtown Development Brokers located in Decatur, Illinois.[6]
