Sheila Shah is an international actress, producer and humanitarian.[1]

Shah gained recognition from her first role in Lionsgate's Saw V of the famous Saw franchise. Her next role was in the Lionsgate film The Tortured.

Shah added television roles to her resume, starting with CBS's How to Be a Gentleman. Since then, she has appeared in many critically-acclaimed American and international film and TV productions, including Amazon and HULU's Finnish movie, Rendel, Netflix's The Poison Rose, Lionsgate's Rambo: Last Blood and in Viaplay and Tele Munchen's high-profile TV series Professionals.

Early life and education[edit]

Shah was born in Tehran, Iran and her parents immigrated to Canada after the revolution. She grew up in Montreal, Canada and moved to Toronto, Canada at the age of thirteen. She speaks fluent Farsi, French and English.[2]

She attended York University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. Shah went on to receive a Post-Graduate degree in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology. She worked in Quality control, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry in both Toronto and Miami.

She relocated to Los Angeles in 2007, where she graduated from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with an Associate of Arts Degree in Merchandise Marketing, and subsequently pursued acting. 

Miss Iran[edit]

Shah won the title of Miss Iran Canada in 2001.[3]

Career[edit]

Shah made her first feature film debut as an FBI Agent in Saw V (2008), following a role in the feature film The Tortured (2010) and a guest star in CBS's How to Be a Gentleman (2011).

She also had supporting roles in Mafia (2012) starring Ving Rhames and Heart of the Country (2013) with Jana Kramar. She played a mercenary in the Finnish film Rendel: Dark Vengeance (2017), and appeared in The Poison Rose (2019) starring John Travolta and Morgan Freeman as well as Sylvester Stallone's Rambo: Last Blood (2019). Shah has a reoccurring role in the TV series Professionals (2019)

Shah appeared in the documentary Discover the Gift (2010), directed by Demian Lichtenstein.

Charity work[edit]

Shah serves as the Ambassador for the March of Dimes Canada[4]and helped create awareness for the disease by attending and speaking at the celebrity golf classic tournaments and other events throughout the years.[5][6][7][8][9][10]

She is also an Ambassador for CARE to help fight poverty by empowering women and girls. Among her effort to bring awareness to this cause, she did a campaign for CARE for International Women's Day.[11]

Sheila is a strong advocate and an ambassador of White Ribbon USA and White Ribbon Canada, which is the largest MALE initiative in the world which works to help against violence towards women and children.[12]

She has helped and given her voice to other organizations such as the David Lynch Foundation, Brain Mapping Foundation[13] and Go Campaign.[14]

Sheila worked on a campaign for the United Nation Environment program called "World Is In Our Hands" to raise awareness for climate change.[15]

In addition she has also hosted many NGOs, including a CARE event for a group of diverse pre-school kids among who were visually impaired or had secondary impairments.[16]
