Early life and education

Hipsky was born Michele Nevin Jacobs in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and raised in Akron, Ohio. Her mother ran a community theater, where Hipsky began performing and volunteering at a young age. Her educational background and academic career are marked by a series of academic achievements and professional milestones. She attended Firestone High School from 1988 to 1992, followed by a year at Wright State University before transferring to Duquesne University[1]. At Duquesne University[1] earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special and Elementary Education from 1993 to 1997.

After graduating, Hipsky worked as a special education teacher in Florida from 1997 to 2000, where she gained experience working with students with varying exceptionalities. In 2000, she began working at Duquesne University[1] as an Adjunct professor and research assistant.

Dr. Hipsky also taught at Robert Morris University from 2005 to 2015, where she worked with undergraduate to Ph.D students in Instructional Management and Leadership. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Hipsky has demonstrated a commitment to education and leadership.

Dr. Hipsky has appeared on 50 magazine covers and has been featured on major television networks. She has written 15 books, including "Ball Gowns to Yoga Pants: Entrepreneurial Secrets for Creating Your Dream Business and Brand."

Philanthropy

Hipsky is involved with several non-profit organizations, including the Homeless Children's Education Fund charity. She has volunteered at shelters and organized fundraising events, such as charity fashion shows and galas. These events have raised over $100,000 for homeless children.
