Shendrik started his career in Pittsburgh, where he played along his brother Shertin Apostel until he was traded for MLB Starter Keone Kela. In 2021 spring training, he followed his brothers footsteps and he too was traded for a pitcher, the Chicago Cubs's Duane Underwood,jr..
