Sherani bus accident
On 3 July 2022, a bus travelling from Rawalpindi to Quetta carrying 33 people fell into a ravine killed at least 20 people and 11 others injured near Sherani District of Balochistan, Pakistan.[1][2] This is the second major accident in a month. Earlier on 8 June a minivan van crashed in Killa Saifullah District, killing 22 people.
Rescue sources said that the bodies and injured have been shifted to Zhob and MughalKot.[citation needed]
Reactions[edit]
- Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed regret over the accident and expressed sorrow over the loss of lives. He directed to provide immediate and best medical aid to the injured.[3]
- Turkey On 9 June, the Turkish ministry of foreign affairs released statement and expresses condolence over loss of lives in the incident.[4]
