Shery Ahn
Shery Jisu Ahn is a television journalist for Bloomberg TV.
Career[edit]
She currently anchors the midday Bloomberg Markets segment[1] from New York co-hosting[2] with Vonnie Quinn. Shery previously worked[3] on Bloomberg Daybreak Asia [4]and Bloomberg Markets Middle East while based out of Hong Kong. Before working for Bloomberg she hosted NHK World's English language weekday news program NHK Newsline Asia Biz Forecast[5] from Tokyo. Previously she worked for the German Press agency Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa), TBS eFM and Seoul Magazine. She started her broadcast career with Arirang TV in Seoul, South Korea as a correspondent.
Education[edit]
Ahn is a graduate of Seoul National University and was raised in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. She describes her heritage as Korivian[6] (a portmanteau of Korean and Bolivian). She is fluent in English, Spanish, Korean and Japanese, although has reported only in the first three languages.
