Shiharan Rashid (Bengali: শিহরন রশীদ; born 3 February 1979) is a prominent Bangladeshi journalist. He serves as Editor[1][2][3][4] and Publisher[3] of The Daily Tribunal[2], the 5th[5] largest circulating English language newspapers in Bangladesh. He is also president of Bangladesh Newspaper Editor and Publisher Council (BNEPC)[6][7][8] acting from 2019.
Early life and Family
Shiharan (Known as: Shiharan Rashid) was born in 1979[9] at Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh[9]. He is from an aristocratic Muslim family. A famous novelist and journalist Late Md. Abdur Rashid Mia[9] is his father and a well-known social worker Late Shahida Rashid[9] is his mother. Shiharan grew up in a comfortable environment. After completing his education from University of Dhaka, he began his career as a journalist in 1997.
