Shin Ultraman is a Japanese movie scheduled to be released in 2021, produced by Tsuburaya Productions, Toho, and Color. It is based on the 1966 special effects television drama Ultraman, and the title logo describes it as a "fantasy special effects movie". The staff will be the production team from Shin Godzilla (2016), which was produced as a fictional special-effects movie, including planning and scripting by Hideaki Anno and director Shinji Higuchi.
Production[edit]
History[edit]
The script was drafted on February 5, 2019, and the production was announced as a new movie of the Ultra series on August 1, 2019; the main staff and cast were released at the same time. Anno had produced Shin Evangelion Theatrical Version at the same time, but it was announced that he would join the group led by Higuchi after the completion of that work.

The Ultraman concept was designed primarily by Ultraman Toru Narita.
