Shinten

Shinten is an umbrella term used when referring to a collection of the sacred texts of Shinto religion[1]. Shinten includes many Shinto texts[2] such as:
- Kojiki (“Records of Ancient Matters”)
- Nihon shoki, or Nihon-gi (“Chronicles of Japan”),
- Kogoshūi (“Gleanings of Ancient Works”)
- Engi shiki (“Institutes of the Engi Period”)
