Shivakant Bajpai
Shivakant Bajpai is the Superintending Archaeologist of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in the Jabalpur Circle.
Early Life and Education
Bajpai was born in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. As a child, he explored the ancient ruins and historical sites of Ujjain. He completed his undergraduate studies in Archaeology from Vikram University, Ujjain, followed by doctoral and postgraduate studies at Vikram University, specializing in Buddhism.[1]
Career and contributions
Upon completing his education, Bajpai joined the Archaeological Survey of India, a premier organization responsible for the research, conservation, and preservation of India's archaeological heritage. He began his career as an Assistant Archaeologist, working on various excavations and research projects across different regions of India.[2][3]
