Shmuel Auster is a leading figure in Israeli electrical and electronics engineering field. He is serving as Chair of IEEE Israel Section (since February 2020), and the Founder and General Chair of the IEEE COMCAS series (since 2008).[1]
Served as Chairman of the Israeli Society of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Director at the Association of Engineers and Architects in Israel (AEAI), and Member of The Council of Engineering & Architecture, Ministry of Economy, Government of Israel. He also served as the chief scientist at Elbit Electronic Systems, and as a scientific editor of "Technologies" and "Israel Defense Tech" Magazines. In 2020, awarded “Honorary Life Member” by the president of AEAI.
Auster holds a bachelor’s of science, received in 1980, and a master’s of science, received in 1986, in electrical and electronics engineering from Tel Aviv University and received a degree in engineering management (Summa Cum Laude) in 1993.
