Showpad is a global mobile and web-based sales enablement software as a service (SaaS) platform, providing content, training, and coaching solutions for sales organizations around the world. A privately held company, Showpad was founded in 2011 in Ghent, Belgium by Pieterjan (PJ) Bouten, now Chief Executive Officer; Louis Jonckheere, now Chief Product Officer; and Peter Minne.

Showpad’s core product is Showpad Content, which focuses on creating and distributing relevant buyer content for both sales and marketing teams. Showpad Coach is its solution for sales training and coaching, with learning materials available on any device.[1]

History[edit]

Pieterjan (PJ) Bouten, Louis Jonckheere, and Peter Minne, founded Showpad in Ghent, Belgium in 2011. They had met working for Netlog, a social media platform in Belgium, then started In The Pocket, an agency for creating mobile apps.[2] Through the growth of this organization, they discovered the need for mobile content distribution, which is how Showpad started in 2011 as an iOS application. It has since also been released via Android app, web app and Windows app.

In 2012, the company launched Showtime, the largest annual sales enablement conference in Europe.[3]

In 2013, Showpad opened its first U.S. office in San Francisco, CA.

In 2016, Showpad released its Salesforce[4][5] and Microsoft Dynamics[6] integrations. In 2017, Showpad Experiences[7] were launched.

In 2017, the U.S. Showpad headquarters was established in Chicago, IL.[8]

Showpad introduced various new capabilities and features in 2018, including Shared Spaces[9], augmented reality (AR),[10] and its Partner Program.[11]

In 2018, Showpad also announced its acquisitions of LearnCore,[12] a Chicago-based software for sales training; and Voicefox,[13] a meeting intelligence software provider.

As of 2018, Showpad is GDPR compliant.[14]

Showpad has received several rounds of funding since its inception:

  • 2013: $2 million series A[15]
