Shuki Zikri an Israeli hairstylist, entrepreneur and a philanthropist. He's been a presenter for Loreal International, Schwarzkopf, and Wella. His works appeared on hair magazines.[1] and known as the co-founder of Shuki Zikri hair salons and academies in Israel.

Biography[edit]

Shuki Zikri was born to a Jewish family in Fez, Morocco on July 1964. He moved to Paris when he was ten years old together with his parents and siblings. Then moved to Israel when he was eighteen years old. He purchased his first salon from the owner of the business who he worked for who is going back to Paris. In Israel, his name is said as a reference for a hairsalon.

Career[edit]

1980 - Joined Alexandre de Paris in Tel Aviv, Israel as a hairdresser. He ended up purchasing the business from the owner who was going back to Paris.

1983 - Opened Shuki Zikri Hair Salon at Ben Yehuda, Israel.

1985 - He launched a full line of hair care products like shampoo, conditioners, cream, masks and hair gels. His Hair dyes had traces of gold. He also had a line of products for hairstylist, set of tools like blowdryers, flat iron, shaver, and scissors.

1992 - Opened his second location at Ramat HaSharon, Israel.

1993 - He opened his hair academy, Shuki Zikri Hair Academy and had around 900 students per year.

1995-1996 - Opened his second location of hair academy in Jerusalem, Israel. He had around 400 students in the second location. Another location was opened in Petak Tikwa, Israel then fourteen other hair salons were also opened throughout Israel including one in Eilat[2]. He was also featured in TV shows, fashion shows, and even mentioned in books[3]

2000 - He collaborated with a charitable organization in Yafo, Israel called HaHatzer Hanashit,[4] which means empower women. The charity is still in existence to date to help empower young girls and women who came from broken homes from ages 13-26. He contributed an upscale hair salon to provide free services to all the women in need.[4]

1985 - present - He had owned and operated the following groups: Shuki Zikri, a hair salon franchise. Shuki Zikri Yafo (Hatzer Nashit) a charitable organization. Shuki Zikri Beauty and Care, a cosmetic line of products[5]. Shuki Zikri my secrets.your beauty[6], a premium hair care products. Shuki Zikri Golden Touch[6], a line of hair coloring products. Shuki Zikri By Babyliss, hairstyling tools. Shuki Zikri Duri, a chain of hair academies.

2003 – Came out with a new line of hair care products.[7] He also came out with a chill out and lounge track cd Compilation: Magica[8]

2007 - present - He collaborated with multiple celebrities and public figures and fashion shows.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][6]

Controversy[edit]

In 2011, he left Israel and continued his works in United States.[19][20]
