JCZ a.k.a Shwe Lin Hlaing (Burmese: ေရႊလင္းလႈိင္; born 11 May 1994) is a well-known Burmese music producer and songwriter. He is well known for his hip hop music and rose to fame after producing a song for mainstream artists; X-box featuring J-ME J-me “9 pouk Album”, (Rocket).

Early life and education

JCZ was born on 11 May 1994 in Ayeyarwady, Myanmar. He moved to Yangon with his family when he was 9 years old. Since then, he has been living in Yangon. He is the only child. He attended Dagon University.

Music career

2009–2015: Career beginnings

JCZ started his music career producing music for underground artists while still a university student, composing songs and recording underground artists. Shortly after, he was first contacted by X-Box, who is a mainstream rapper in the Burmese hip hop industry.

2009–2014: Recognition and collaborative success

JCZ gained recognition in 2016 when he produced music for X-box ’s album title song “9 Pouk” (Hit 9’’), from the “9 pouk" (Hit 9) album. Later he was approached by Ye Lay who collaborated with Sophia Everest in the song “Min Shi Tae Nya Myar” (Nights without You). Shortly after, he started producing more songs for mainstream artists like; “Sunset” by Ye Naung and Ah Moon, following another song “Nga Ye Yee Sarr ko Ma Hti Nae’’ (Don’t Touch My Lover) by X-box and Mi Sandi.

2017–present: Debut and rising popularity

JCZ got his big break in the music industry when he released his album Team 143 on 2 February 2018 . Featuring 4 male members. Myat Amara Maung, RB2, Double J and NJ. Songs from the album like “Sugar Daddy”, and “ I can’t Sleep” Topped charts in Joox and went viral on Facebook and YouTube.
