Shyavantloru

Shyavantloru ( ಅಚ್ಚಗನ್ನಡ : ಸಾವಂತಲೋರು , standard ಕನ್ನಡ : ಶ್ಯಾವಂತ್ಲೂರು , official name : Shyavantlor ) is a clan of Sadar Lingayat sub-caste of Lingayat caste of Hindu religion. ^[1]

Etymology[edit]

The word ' Shyavantloru ' means in old Kannada that The Gentleman. They were educated and the owners of big farms.
