SideSwipe is a martial art group that is based out of Los Angeles, California, they are best known for competing in season 1 and 2 of America's Got Talent. They withdrew from the first season due to an ankle injury of one of their members and finished 8th in season 2.
It is a mix of martial arts, dance, and acrobatics or in other words is extreme martial arts performance. Some martial art styles that they incorporate into their performances are wushu, tae kwon do, and capoeira. The team itself has performed hundreds of live shows worldwide like Italy, Spain, Cuba, Greece, London, Japan and all around America. The performance team has been in multiple films,shows, and Navy bases. They have performed for Britney Spears, Nike, Microsoft, and FedEx etc.[1] [2] [3]

The Sideswipe Performance Team was founded by Matt Mullins. In 2002 Matt Mullins decided he and a few friends were going to perform on the show 30 Seconds to Fame where they then won $25,000 on the show. According to Matt “with that victory Sideswipe was born.”[4]
In 2006 they were able to get onto America's Got Talent for season 1 but due to an injury had to withdraw from season 1. They decided to try again for season 2 and finished 8th.
In 2009 they performed on stage with Britney Spears for her tour that year. Matt said “Every city in the world we went to had 18,000-30,000 seat venues sold out and going crazy.” [4]
