SightCall (formerly Weemo) is an American multinational cloud-based Augmented Reality enterprise software company.[1] headquartered in San Francisco, California.[2] The company provides Augmented Reality visual assistance technology for a wide variety of applications including insurance[3][4], field service, customer service and telehealth applications. SightCall is device agnostic and operates on Android or iOS devices including laptops, tablets, mobile phones and wearables. SightCall technology helps customers improve productivity and reduce costs[5] by providing remote guidance over a real-time video communication stream through WebRTC or native app. The company has over 70 employees in offices in North America, EMEA and APAC.

History

SightCall was founded in Paris, France in 2007 by Thomas Cottereau and Antoine Vervoort as a WebRTC-based real-time video chat platform[6]. In 2014 the company rebranded as SightCall and moved its headquarters to Silicon Valley.

In 2011, SightCall raised $4 million in a Seed Round from IdInvest Partners.

In 2015, SightCall raised $8.5 million from IdInvest Partners[7]

In 2018 SightCall successfully integrated its software with the Salesforce Lightning platform making SightCall Visual Assistance available on the salesforce app exchange.[8]

SightCall helps Coca-Cola subsidiary Costa Express increase first call resolution by 79%.[9]

COVID-19

During the global COVID-19 pandemic, SightCall was rapidly adopted by enterprises to reduce onsite technician visits and the risk of person-to-person contact.

AGCO deployed SightCall to help pork producers maintain business operations by enabling remote technical assistance on the SightCall platform.[10]

Lincoln Motor Co created a virtual Lincoln Showcase using SightCall to give prospective car buyers the opportunity to receive a remote 45 minute walk-through on a Lincoln Corsair or Aviator from the comfort of their home.[11][12][13]
