Aberdeen-based Signal[1] (originally Signal2Noise) is a Scottish multi-award-winning[2] video production and animation company. Signal has produced hundreds of unique videos and animations for its clients in the UK and across the world[3]. Signal has been trading since 2011.

Services[edit]

Signal are a production company offering drone filming, offshore filming, 2D animation and 3D animation. Disciplines offered include conceptualising, script writing, storyboarding, graphic design, shoot logistics, filming, voice overs, and postproduction including editing, motion graphics and audio production.[4]

Signal produces corporate films (aka ‘industrial’ videos) including marketing and promotional videos, training films, employee engagement videos and technical videos.

Video production[edit]

The Signal team is certified to work offshore and fly drones[5]. Signal owns and operates 4K equipment and LED lighting. Post-production workflow is done with either DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere.

Animation[edit]

Signal makes 2D and 3D animations, including HSE animations, explainer videos and technical 3D animations. Signal use various software packages including 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D, After Effects, rendered with Octane or RedShift. Signal also creates videos that use a mix of shot footage augmented with animated elements.

Drone filming[edit]

Signal provide aerial drone filming and photography[6] services. Signal’s CAA qualified drone pilots film video and photography, and are fully qualified for filming offshore (including BOSIET offshore survival and firefighting certification).
