Silke Duis (born Silke Katharina Duis; 24 March 1978, in Datteln, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German real estate expert, qualified lawyer, and certified building appraiser for property valuation ("Bausachverständige für Wertermittlung"). Since 2012, she has been the owner of the real estate agency Immobilien Duis, based in Waltrop, Germany. She is also known for her television work on the VOX series Mein Traumhaus am Meer, and for the personal-development brand Glücksspionin.
Early Life and Education
Silke Duis was born in Datteln, North Rhine-Westphalia. After completing her Abitur in 1998, she studied law (Rechtswissenschaften) at Ruhr University Bochum, passing the First State Examination in Law (Erstes Juristisches Staatsexamen) in 2003. She later qualified as a certified building appraiser for property valuation, combining legal training with expertise in real estate assessment and financing.
Career
In 2012, Duis founded the real estate marketing agency Immobilien Duis, headquartered in Waltrop, North Rhine-Westphalia. The agency advises property owners and prospective buyers on the valuation, marketing, and financing of residential and commercial real estate, including the preparation of property listings, virtual 360-degree tours, buyer credit checks, and coordination through notarial certification and handover. The agency has marketed more than 600 properties to date.
Duis has been described as the only real estate agent in Germany who combines the roles of qualified lawyer, certified building appraiser for property valuation, and financing expert in a single professional.
Immobilien Duis was named a Premium Partner on ImmoScout24, Germany's largest real estate portal, for eight consecutive years based on user reviews, from 2015 to 2022.
Television and Media
Duis appeared as a real estate agent on the VOX television series Mein Traumhaus am Meer ("My Dream Home by the Sea"), representing property listings on the program. She has also been featured in business media, including the German newspaper Handelsblatt.
Glücksspionin
Under the brand name Glücksspionin ("Happiness Spy"), Duis develops projects related to personal development, goal orientation, and life planning, drawing on her professional background in real estate and law.
Community and Political Engagement
Duis has long supported children's and youth development initiatives in her region. She was previously active in local politics, serving as the first female chairwoman of the CDU (Christian Democratic Union) in Waltrop and holding a board position with the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion.
