Silver bromite
Silver bromite
Silver bromite is a hypothetical / unstable molecule[1] which is a silver salt that contains 1 silver cation() and 1 bromite anion (). Silver bromite () quickly disproportionates into silver bromate () and silver bromide ().[2]
The biproduct silver bromide is stable under normal conditions however it breaks down when exposed to light.
Unlike silver bromide, silver bromate does not get affected by light and is stable under normal conditions, however it does decompose into silver bromide and oxygen
