Silver bromite

Silver bromite is a hypothetical / unstable molecule[1] which is a silver salt that contains 1 silver cation(AgA+) and 1 bromite anion (BrOA2A+). Silver bromite (AgBrOA2) quickly disproportionates into silver bromate (AgBrOA3) and silver bromide (AgBr).[2]

The biproduct silver bromide is stable under normal conditions however it breaks down when exposed to light.

2AgBr2Ag+BrA2

Unlike silver bromide, silver bromate does not get affected by light and is stable under normal conditions, however it does decompose into silver bromide and oxygen
