Silwood Technology was founded in 1992 [1] and is based in Ascot, Berkshire in the United Kingdom. It is a private limited company.

Product[edit]

Silwood Technology's key product is Safyr (previously known as 'Saphir'). The company's website states that Safyr is the industry's only dedicated metadata discovery software[2].

Safyr extracts metadata, tables and relationships directly from SAP, Salesforce, JD Edwards, Oracle E-Business Suite, Siebel, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and other ERP/CRM systems and loads it into a Metadata Repository[3].

In 2018, Silwood Technology launched a series of Starter Packs for GDPR compliance for SAP, JD Edwards, Siebel, Oracle E-Business Suite and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 [4].

In February 2018 the company conducted research into five of the largest and most widely used application packages to understand the scale of the challenge encountered by their customers when locating personal data for GDPR compliance[5].

Silwood Technology hold the Informatica Marketplace Seal of Approval for the SAP[6], JD Edwards Enterprise One[7], Oracle E-Business Suite[8] variants of their product. The Informatica Marketplace Seal of Approval is the result of a rigorous testing and validation process lasting up to 30 days by the Informatica Marketplace Certification Team.

Customers[edit]

Some famous customers of Safyr include BP, Boeing, Microsoft and Johnson & Johnson[9]
