Simbi Phiri is a Malawian-born business mogul currently residing in South Africa. Phiri is one of the Malawians richest persons with a networth of $190m as of 2021. According to BusinessMalawi, Phiri is the second richest person in Malawi, second to Thom Mpinganjira.[2]
Simba Phiri was born in Malawi to a Malawian father and a Botswana's mother in 1963. His exact date of birth are currently unknown as at 2021. Phiri began his schooling in Malawi before his family moved tp Botswana.
Simba first entered the construction industry when he moved to South Africa in his twenties. He joined a construction company called LTE where he worked for 15 years. During this time, he rose to the rank of director until when he left the company to start his Khato Civils (Pty) Ltd. It is through this company that Phiri made much of his wealth.
