Simon Ekpa (born 21 march 1985) is a Nigerian-Finnish political activist who advocates for the secession and independence of Biafra from Nigeria, Ekpa a self acclaimed Nnamdi Kanu's disciple[1] took over IPOB and ESN command immediately the Indigenous People of Biafra's supreme leader Nnamdi Kanu was arrested by the Nigerian Goverment in 2021, in July 2021 IPOB's DOS (directorate of state) fell apart over who should lead the separatist group[2] and Ekpa was sacked as Radio Biafra broadcaster[3][4] Ekpa quickly launched his own broadcasting platform Enter Biafra.

Ekpa stated that Biafra will be free peacefully or by war, Simon Ekpa ordered for a five days sit at home on 10th of December 2022 that turned the south eastern Nigeria bloody[5][6][7] the Ohaneze Indigbo called for the arrest and repatriation of Ekpa from Finland after the five days sit at home order claimed many lives adding to the insurgency in south east Nigeria.[8][9][10] on 13th December 2022 Simon Ekpa and his war mongering allies was dragged to Court for fuelling terror by IPOB's lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor, Defendants in the suit marked CU/7 88/2022 include Simon Ekpa, Anibueze Juliet, Obinna Victor Uzoaganaobi, Chukwemeka Livingstone and Raphael Chiamaka Ajaere.[11][12]
On 15th of december 2022, Ekpa calls for an end to sit at home but insisted there will be no election in Biafra land.[13][14][15]
