Simon James Stiles (/saɪmən ʤeɪmz staɪlz/, born February 17, 1991) is a Canadian-American sports columnist, reporter and analyst. He is an independent NBA insider, having previously covered for SB Nation.

Personal Life[edit]

Stiles was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on February 17th, 1991 to Canadian parents. He graduated from Tremper Highschool in 2009 and attended DePaul University, where he graduated in journalism in 2013. He currently lives in San Francisco, California.

Career[edit]

Kenosha News[edit]

Stiles began his career at Kenosha News after graduating from High School in 2009. In 2010, Stiles became head of their sports news department. After graduating from DePaul in 2013, Stiles continued to work for Kenosha News until 2016, when a salary disagreement drove them to part ways.

SB Nation[edit]

Stiles was hired by SB Nation as a sports columnist, specifically for the NBA, shortly after he parted ways with Kenosha News. After disagreements over his position and future, Stiles and SB Nation parted ways in early 2021.

Independent work[edit]

Since August 2021, Stiles runs a Twitter and an Instagram account on which he reports on news and current topics surrounding the NBA as an insider.
