Simon Tikhman (born August 25, 1984) is an American investor and entrepreneur. Tikhman is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of The Core Entertainment, along with record executive Kevin “Chief” Zaruk.[2]
Early life[edit]
Tikhman was born in San Francisco to Marina and Anatoly Tikhman and has one brother, Alex Tikhman, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Happy Not Perfect,[3] a mindfulness meditation company. Tikhman graduated from the University of Southern California in 2006 with a BA from Lloyd Grief Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at The Marshall School of Business.
Career[edit]
While a student at the University of Southern California, Tikhman founded Interactive Athlete,[4] a company to help professional athletes and coaches create digital content and branded merchandise; notable clients include American football coach Pete Carroll,[5] American football wide receiver Mike Williams, and American football running back Jamal Lewis. In 2012, Tikhman became an investor in the software development company Monclarity and developed a partnership to establish its sister company TikGames,[6] a video game development and publishing agency. Through TikGames, Tikhman lead the development and creation of many mobile entertainment applications, including DurantEmoji[7] (with Kevin Durant) and ZAYNmoji[8][9] (with Zayn Malik).
Simont Enterprises[edit]
In 2008, Tikhman founded Simont Enterprises, a company that gathers global liquor industry leaders to develop vodka, liqueurs, and other spirit products from its distillery in Cognac, France.[10] The product line includes Spotlyte Vodka, Confession Vodka,[11] Prevú Sparkling Liqueur[12] and various others.
The Fund by First Access Entertainment[edit]
In 2018, Tikhman became a managing partner at The Fund by First Access Entertainment.[13][14][15] The Fund is a venture capital firm that invests in the Internet of Things, as well as in marketing, apparel, and entertainment sectors.
The Core Entertainment[edit]
In 2020, Tikhman and Kevin "Chief" Zaruk established The Core Entertainment in partnership with Live Nation.[16][17][18] The Core Entertainment is a full-service talent management company that focuses on investment and management in music, sports, film, television and technology.
Investments[edit]
Tikhman independently invests in a large portfolio of companies, including Espresa, Exadel, Glympse, Philz Coffee, Robinhood and Vision Venture Partners.[19] Tikhman operates RPST Ventures in partnership with sports agent, Rich Paul. RPST Ventures provides strategic investments in Players NTWRK, an online e-sports content platform and BEV, an innovative canned wine company.
Philanthropy[edit]
In 2019, Tikhman became a member of the National Court Appointed Special Advocates Association (CASA),[20] a youth organization that supports and promotes court-appointed advocates to gather information and provide recommendations to judges on behalf and in the best interest of an abused or neglected child.
Personal life[edit]
In 2019, Tikhman married Erin Foster,[21] an American screenwriter and performer. The couple wed on December 31, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee.[22][23]
