Sisters 2016 (Parallel Universe Version) is the 10th single by Taiwanese singer A-Mei[1],released on December 13, 2016 as digital music through Forward Music(豐華唱片).[2]
Production Background[edit]
For her 20th anniversary, A-Mei has re-recorded the hit song of the same name from her debut album "Sisters". The new version of "Sisters" is very different from the one from 20 years ago. The new arrangement abandons the original's fancy production and uses simple guitar accompaniment instead. At the same time, A-Mei invited her manager Isaac Chen(陳鎮川) to create a spoken word for the song, thus revealing her heartfelt feelings.[2][2][1]
After the production of the single was completed, A-Mei gave the distribution rights to Forward Music(豐華唱片), the record label she once worked with, and where she made her debut. The music video was filmed on the anniversary of the death of Chang Yu-sheng, A-Mei's mentor.[2]
