SixCricket is a Sri Lankan No 01 Cricket Website operated by Six Digital Integrated (Private) Limited, publishing cricket news, Cricket Programme, Cricket Images, Live Scores and Everything about Cricket. The main purpose of the website is to bring the latest Cricket Updates in the Sinhala language and respect user contributions by letting anyone contribute and update the latest news, In the same manner, anyone with access to the website can read updates, Watching Videos and get the latest updates via the official website.

SixCricket was soon recognized as one of the most trusted Cricket communities in Sri Lanka.

Launch[edit]

On May 12, 2021, the SixCricket board of directors approved to launch the of https://sixcricket.com/ on May 15, 2021. SixCricket.com was launched in cyberspace on May 15, 2021, bridging the void of cricket information and news for Sri Lankan cricket fans.

Origins[edit]

Even by the year 2021, there was no dedicated website for cricket in Sri Lanka.  A lot of Cricket Fake news & False Information was spreading in different ways.  A group of young people started searching for an answer to all that and on May 9, 2021 came to cyberspace as a website using the name "SixCricket" suggested by Sheranga sh, Sahan Vimukthi and others.  Later Dulaj Niroshan, Chamindu Perera, Gihan Gamage, and Azmin Razik associated with SixCricket and from there SixCricket's journey from a cricket website to a cricket network started.

2021.03.15 – Present[edit]

In this short period of time, we were able to become the most visited Cricket website in Sri Lanka, and due to the millions of users, it is remarkable that Sri Lankan companies who are fans of cricket have also joined with us

Curation[edit]

Content posted on SixCricket is carefully curated and sourced from the Internet, including other Cricket websites and even local news are also being posted. Authors have promptly advised never to copy-paste news from any other site into SixCricket, instead they are encouraged to read the news and then translate his or her thoughts into a new article on SixCricket in the native language of Sinhala. This process actively eliminates copy-pasting, copyright infringements, and author discrediting while also adding real human thoughts into the new article.

The resulting article is a completely new article and SixCricket does not require to backlink the article to the source because of the aforementioned process, but SixCricket still adds a backlink to the source so the reader can refer to the original article more information and credit the original author.

Unlike other news publishing sites, SixCricket does not restrict readers from copying or extracting out the content.
