Skillhouse Staffing Solutions K.K. (Japanese: スキルハウス・スタッフィング・ソリューションズ株式会社) is an information technology specialty staffing company focused on IT temporary, contract, permanent and outsourcing staffing services. It is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and its main office is located in Toranomon, Minato.[1] It is an operating subsidiary of the Empresaria Group, a global specialist staffing group operating listed on the London Stock Exchange.[2]
History
In August 2004, Skillhouse was founded in Tokyo by Mark Smith, as a temporary and permanent staffing agency specializing in IT professionals with an investment capital of JPY 120,000,000.
In December 2004, Skillhouse acquired its temporary and permanent licenses, which allowed it to operate on both contract and permanent positions.
In February 2011, the company received the privacy mark [1], a mark granted to private enterprises in Japan that take appropriate measures to protect personal information.[3]
In February 2018, it was awarded the Top 1000 High-Growth Companies in Asia Pacific by the Financial Times based on year-on-year growth from 2012 to 2017.[4]
Overview
The company operates on a four-tier fulfillment structure in which there is a specific department responsible for each aspect of the IT staffing process.[5] Aside from permanent placement, Skillhouse also has various IT staffing services available ranging from contract, temporary to hire employment and haken, a Japanese term for dispatching temporary employees to client companies.[6] The working staff of Skillhouse is made up of different nationalities to cater to both local and foreign clients and candidates.[7]
