Malte Wirtz, (October 5, 1979 in Marburg, Germany) is a German film author and director. He studied Film directing at the Athanor Academy in Burghausen. His shortfilm Behind fortune" was supported fromt the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern and shown on several film festivals, e.g. Festival of Festivals, Saint Petersburg. In 2015 he released his first feature movie 5 Stories in 4 days, which was shown in several Festival over the world: Australia, Chile, Israel, India. In 2015 he produced and directed the theatre play Hart aber hässlich which was shown at Hebbel am Ufer and the same year he shoot a movie based on the play called Hard & Ugly which was released in the cinemas in 2017.
