Sky9 Capital
Sky9 Capital is an early-stage technology venture capital firm in China. It focuses on investing in internet, enterprise and deep tech sectors in China.[1]
Founding
Sky9 Capital was founded in 2016 by Ron Cao, an experienced investor[2] who was previously a partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners. Cao has been a member of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders community since 2013[3] and sits on the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Software and Society. He was named as a “Top Chinese Venture Capitalist” by Forbes China.[4]
Investments
Sky9 Capital has made more than 30 investments[5] over three funds.[6][7] The most recent fund closed in April 2018 at $200 million.[8] Investments include EZbuy[9], QingCloud[10], Basis[11], Ultrain[12], PPDai[13] and Douyin (ByteDance)[14].
