High school career[edit]
Flatten was a Four-year varsity letterwinner in High School. He averaged 23 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game as a senior in 2013. He was a McDonalds All-American nominee following his junior and senior seasons at Clark Junior-Senior High School. He was also named Class ‘A’ Player of the Year in 2013 following his senior season.[2]
College career[edit]
Skyler played college basketball for South Dakota State for 5 years. As a senior, he averaged 15.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 36.5 minutes per game.[3]
Professional career[edit]
Flatten was invited to several pre-draft workouts with NBA teams, but went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft. He briefly went to Italy, where he had initially planned on continuing his playing career, but returned to the US for a chance to play in the NBA. He signed with The Sioux Falls Skyforce in 2019[4]
