Skyline Enterprises, also known as simply Skyline, is an entertainment company based in Queenstown, New Zealand. It owns and operates Luges in various countries around the works and also is the owner of Christchurch Casino and has an interest in the Grand Casino, Dunedin.[1][2] Skyline owns a significant amount of property in Queenstown. [3] During Covid 19, the business had to reduce its workforce significantly by 500 people. [4]. In August 2022 the business reported [5]

Luge and Gondola[edit]

Skyline were pioneers of using a Luge on a track. Their original Luge in Queenstown was created to be a crossover between a go-cart and a sled - effectively a go-cart that uses gravity instead of a motor on a downhill course.[6] Skyline announced a redevelopment of its Gondola in Queenstown to be completed in 2023. [7]

Casinos[edit]

Skyline Enterprises is the owner of Christchurch Casino on Victoria Street in Christchurch. In October 2022 it announced that it would be opening an Online Casino based in Malta to trade as "Christchurch Casino".

International[edit]

Skyline has developed luge operations in Singapore, Canada, South Korea and New Zealand [8] and a ride is was announced for Malaysia in 2023 [9]. Skyline is also building a facility in Wales at an estimated cost of £38m[10] in a former Ski village at Parkwood Springs in Sheffield that will open in 2025 with a Luge and Gondola. [11][12][13]
