Slang Church is an American independent Record Label/Artist Collective based in Oakland, California known for working with bands such as Mom Jeans, Just Friends, Hello I'm Sorry, The Co Founder, and Walter Etc..[1]

History[edit]

The label was started in November of 2016 by Billy Bouzos and Colin Frost. Since then, the collective has expanded to include Joey Miller and Lisa Kohn. Slang Church has released albums by Hello I'm Sorry[2], Kevin Nichols[3], Small Crush, Lawn Chairs, Snow Roller, Mac Cornish, Ruby Landen[4], The Co Founder, and Surrounder.[5]. The label is also well known for their live acoustic sessions, coined "Brunch Tunes". These sessions have featured performances from artists such as Kississippi, Mom Jeans, and The Co Founder, Small Crush, Sarchasm, and Awakebutstillinbed.
