Slaughter Beach, Dog
Slaughter Beach, Dog is an American rock band from Philadelphia Pennsylvania.
History
Slaughter Beach, Dog began as Jacob Ewald's solo project. While on tour in 2015 with his former band Modern Baseball, Ewald began writing songs under the name Slaughter Beach. He later changed the name to avoid confusion with Dutch band Slaughter Beach. Ewald released the EP DAWG in March 2015. After the release and tour in support of Modern Baseball's Holy Ghost, Ewald released the Slaughter Beach, Dog debut LP Welcome, on Lame-O Records. Ewald toured in support of Welcome with a lineup consisting of Patrick Ware on drums, Evan Moorehead on bass, and Ian Farmer on guitar. The line-up quickly changed; Farmer switched to bass and Nick Harris took over guitar duty. Motorcycle.jpg was released July 2017 followed by Birdie in October 2017. Patrick Ware joined Joyce Manor and Zack Robbins became the drummer. Slaughter Beach, Dog toured in support of Birdie before joining Tigers Jaw on tour in Europe.
