Smash Up is a shufflebuilding card game series designed by Paul Peterson, with artwork by Dave Allsop, Bruno Balixa, Conceptopolis, and Francisco Rico Torres. It was first published by Alderac Entertainment Group in 2012.[1][2] It is available in over 15 different languages.
Gameplay[edit]
Gameplay involves shuffling two 20-card factions together to combine each faction's abilities to defeat other players. Each turn players are allowed one minion and one action play. Additional minions or actions may be played based on abilities of cards currently on the field or special abilities of cards in the player's hand or discard pile. The first player to 15 victory points ends gameplay, and final scoring is completed to determine the winner. Points are scored when base cards reach their breakpoint. Minions with different levels of power are played on bases, and their power adds up to the base's breakpoint. Once the base is smashed or busted, each player with power left on the base is awarded a first, second, and third place value of victory points as shown on the base card.
Releases[edit]
The games denoted as S contain 8 factions and accompanying base cards and can therefore be played standalone.
