Snowed In Studios is a video game development studio based in Ottawa, Ontario. The studio was founded in 2010[1]. Snowed In Studios does video game development outsourcing work on mobile games, web games, and triple-A console games.

History[edit]

Snowed In Studios was founded in 2010. They originally worked on video game development and creating interactive apps. On July 19, 2018, Snowed In Studios was acquired by Keywords Studios as part of their engineering service line[2].

Windforge[edit]

Windforge is Snowed In Studios’ only original commercial release to date. It is a side-scrolling 2D shooter/RPG that was released on March 4, 2014[3]. It is currently available on Steam[3].  

Awards[edit]

In 2017, Snowed In Studios’ Studio Head, Jean-Sylvain Sormany was named one of Ottawa’s 40 Under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal[4].

In 2021 Snowed In Studios was one of the top 10 Best Places to Work in Ottawa.[5]

On November 8, 2021, Snowed In Studios was named one of the GamesIndustry.biz Best Places to Work in Canada[6]
