So This Is Suffering is an American deathcore band formed in 2007 in Victorville, California.[1]

History

So This Is Suffering was formed in 2007 in Victorville, California by Zedadiah Martinez and Zechariah Gamez.[2] The band would release a demo in 2007, followed by an EP in 2009 titled Harlot and a self-titled EP in 2011.[3] The band released their debut studio album titled A Deathscene On Delay in November 2012.[4]

The band signed to Unique Leader Records in February 2016 and toured in West Coast United States with death metal band, Lord Of War in April that same year.[5] On November 30, 2016, the band announced that their second studio album titled Palace Of The Pessimist will be released on February 24, 2017 and unveiled a single titled "Dreameater".[6] On January 16, 2017, the band released another single off the album titled "Columbine".[7] The band toured with Whitechapel, Carnifex, Rings of Saturn and Entheos in late 2017.[8] The band also toured in early 2018 with Bodysnatcher and Extortionist.[9]

On March 13, 2020, the band released a single titled "Luminol", it would then be followed up by another single titled "Gloom (Bio-War)", which was released on March 20, 2020.[10] The band teamed up with Australian music producer Misstiq and released a single titled "Moonlight Serenade" on August 21, 2020.[11] The band released another single titled "Internal Atrophy" on December 29, 2022. The band would team up with Misstiq again and release a single titled "Vertex" on June 22, 2024.
